    $19.98

Honor, glorify, and love God by learning to dwell in His presence.

    R. T. Kendall invites you to discover what it means to be in the presence of God. In this fresh, new look at God’s presence Kendall explores everything from the omnipresence of God to the tangible manifestation of His presence.

You will discover why God might at times withhold a sense of His presence while at other times you might experience an acute sense of awe or reverence of God that drives you to your knees in prayer, leads you into spontaneous worship of Him, or brings about healing and other miracles.

Kendall teaches you how to develop a sensitivity to His presence so your love for Him and relationship with Him will deepen and grow.

  • Problem Of God (Unabridged)

    $19.98

The Problem of God is written by a skeptic who became a Christian and then a pastor, all while exploring answers to the most difficult questions raised against Christianity. Mark grew up in an atheistic home, and after his father’s death, began a skeptical search for truth through exploring science, philosophy, and history, asking the big questions of life, and eventually finding answers in Christianity.

In a disarming, winsome, and persuasive way, The Problem of God responds to the top ten questions people raise against God, and Christianity, including, among others:
    The Problem of Science
    The Problem of God’s Existence
    The Problem of the Bible
The Problem of Evil and Suffering
    The Problem of Hell
    The Problem of Sex
    The Problem of Hypocrisy

Each chapter answers the specific challenge using a mix of theology, philosophy, and science on the one hand, while also using stories, illustrations, and anecdotes. It’s apologetics for the rest of us, focused on both convincing the skeptic, and informing the Christian.

  • Reading The Bible Supernaturally (Unabridged)

    $11.99

The Bible reveals glorious things. And yet we often miss its power because we read it the same way we read any other book. In Reading the Bible Supernaturally, best-selling author John Piper teaches us how to read the Bible in light of its divine author. In doing so, he highlights the Bible’s unique ability to reveal God to humanity in a way that informs our minds, transforms our hearts, and ignites our love. With insights into the biblical text drawn from decades of experience studying, preaching, and teaching Scripture, Piper helps us experience the transformative power of God’s Word–a power that extends beyond the mere words on the page. Ultimately, Piper shows us that in the seemingly ordinary act of reading the Bible, something supernatural happens: we encounter the living God.

  • Against Calvinism (Unabridged)

    $12.99

Calvinist theology has been debated and promoted for centuries. But is it a theology that should last? Roger Olson suggests that Calvinism, also commonly known as Reformed theology, holds an unwarranted place in our list of accepted theologies. In Against Calvinism, listeners will find scholarly arguments explaining why Calvinist theology is incorrect and how it affects God’s reputation. Olson draws on a variety of sources, including Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience, to support his critique of Calvinism and the more historically rich, biblically faithful alternative theologies he proposes. Addressing what many evangelical Christians are concerned about today-so-called new Calvinism, a movement embraced by a generation labeled as young, restless, Reformed-Against Calvinism is the only audiobook of its kind to offer objections from a non-Calvinist perspective to the current wave of Calvinism among Christian youth. As a companion to Michael Horton’s For Calvinism, listeners will be able to compare contrasting perspectives and form their own opinions on the merits and weaknesses of Calvinism.

  • Drive By Pneumatology (Unabridged)

    $19.99

Description Pneumatology is the theological study of the Holy Spirit which seeks to answer who the Holy Spirit is and what His function is in the world. What happens when a preacher has bad Pneumatology? * Heretics kick cancer victims in the guts to drive out stomach cancer. * False teachers impose un-Biblical teachings on the flock because God told them to. * So called prophets claim they have taken trips to heaven and Australia by the power of the Holy Spirit. The study of Pneumatology has never been more important. Drive By Pneumatology will provide a thorough, thoughtful and Biblical presentation on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. * Why do we think He is God? * Why do we call Him a person? * What was the Holy Spirit’s role in the Old Testament? More than that, Drive By Pneumatology answers some of the hotly debated issues of our day: * What is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? * Is there a second filling of the Holy Spirit? * How does the Holy Spirit illuminate the believer? But Drive By Pneumatology goes beyond the who, what, where, when and why of the Holy Spirit and is very practical: * How do I get more of the Holy Spirit? * How can I be led by Him? * How do I get more fruit of the Holy Spirit? You will hear some of the finest teaching from some of Evangelicalism’s brightest minds. Yes, the title of this series is a big fancy word, but the teaching is entirely practical and will help you grow tremendously as a Holy Spirit filled believer.

The controversy grows with every sale of the bestselling novel. Throughout the contemporary fictional storyline of The Da Vinci Code, author Dan Brown skillfully weaves historical assertions intended to shake the very foundations of Christianity:

    * Was Jesus merely human and not divine?
    * Did Jesus and Mary Magdalene marry and have children?
    * Is there a Holy Grail? If so, what is it and where can it be found?

Cracking Da Vinci’s Code is the long-awaited answer to these and other questions. Authors James L. Garlow and Peter Jones present compelling evidence that Brown’s assertions are not only historically inaccurate, but may also contain a hidden agenda.

  • Vatican Diaries : A Behind The Scenes Look At The Power Personalities And P (Una

    $32.95

    A New York Times Bestseller

A revealing inside look at one of the world’s most powerful and mysterious institutions

For more than twenty-five years John Thavis held one of the most fascinating journalistic jobs in the world: reporting on the inner workings of the Vatican. His daily exposure to the power, politics, and personalities in the seat of Roman Catholicism gave him a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on an institution that is far less monolithic and unified than it first appears. Thavis reveals Vatican City as a place where Curia cardinals fight private wars, scandals threaten to undermine papal authority, and reverence for the past is continually upended by the practical considerations of modern life.

Thavis takes listeners from a bell tower high above St. Peter’s to the depths of the basilica and the saint’s burial place, from the politicking surrounding the election of a new pope and the ever-growing sexual abuse scandals around the world to controversies about the Vatican’s stand on contraception and more.

Perceptive, sharply written, and witty, The Vatican Diaries will appeal not only to Catholics-lapsed as well as devout-but to anyone interested in international diplomacy and the role of religion in an increasingly secularized world.

  • Knowing God (Unabridged)

    $11.99

A lifelong pursuit of knowing God should embody the Christian’s existence. According to eminent theologian J.I. Packer, however, Christians have become enchanted by modern skepticism and have joined the gigantic conspiracy of misdirection by failing to put first things first. Knowing God audiobook aims to redirect our attention to the simple, deep truth that to know God is to love His Word.

What began as a number of consecutive articles angled for honest, no-nonsense readers who were fed up with facile Christian verbiage in 1973, Knowing God has become a contemporary classic by creating small studies out of great subjects. Each chapter is so specific in focus (covering topics such as the trinity, election, God’s wrath, and God’s sovereignty), that each succeeding chapter’s theology seems to rival the next, until one’s mind is so expanded that one’s entire view of God has changed.

  • Pensees (Unabridged)

‘If we submit everything to reason our religion will be left with nothing mysterious or supernatural’

Blaise Pascal, the precociously brilliant contemporary of Descartes, was a gifted mathematician and physicist, but it is his unfinished apologia for the Christian religion upon which his reputation now rests. The Pensees is a collection of philosohical fragments, notes and essays in which Pascal explores the contradictions of human nature in pscyhological, social, metaphysical and-above all-theological terms. Mankind emerges from Pascal’s analysis as a wretched and desolate creature within an impersonal universe, but who can be transformed through faith in God’s grace.

This masterly translation conveys Pascal’s disarmingly personal tone and captures all the fire and passion of the original. Also contained in this volume are a comparison between different editions, appendices and a bibliography.

  • Thinking Catholic : Introductions To Catholicism

    $14.95

CATHOLICISM encourages its followers to embrace the world in which they live and change it for the better. Learning to think Catholic helps people apply the insights, presumptions and priorities that lie in the heart of the faithful believer to God and the world, life and living, suffering and sin, the individual and the family, and society at large.

In Thinking Catholic, Archbishop Daniel 1. Pilarczyk offers a series of thoughtful, pastoral and heartfelt reflections on all aspects of our lives in the world, seen through the eyes of one deeply faithful to the tradition and teachings of the Church. He seeks to help people to savor and appreciate and nourish the gift of thinking Catholic. He discusses what Catholics think about:
    *the goodness of creation
    *love of neighbor
    *being stewards of God’s gifts
    *possessions
    *God’s presence in the world
    *friendship with Jesus
    *respect for life
    *prayer
    *afterlife
    *a universal Church
    *spiritual maturity
    *sin
    *the Church community
    *education and learning

Pilarczyk writes in the introduction: My purpose is to clarify the Catholic heart and the Catholic mind to show how deeply different we are–or should be-from many of those around us. It is my hope that becoming aware of what lies within the heart of those who think Catholic will enable those who read these reflections to become aware of the richness that both derives from our faith and also energizes it.
